Even while defending against full-scale aggression, Ukraine has adopted crucial reforms required to open EU accession talks. On November 8th, the European Commission recommended opening them in recognition of Ukraine’s progress in fighting corruption and fulfilling other requirements. We now await the EU Council's positive decision in December.
