Do we all remember the time in 1995 that Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich advocated for the United States to resume diplomatic ties with Taiwan? But then, Kissinger: according to Gingrich, "Henry called me and said, 'This is not good.'" Gingrich reversed his stance, on Kissinger's urging. "My conclusion after talking to Henry," Gingrich said, "is that I'm just going to have to spend a lot of time thinking about China and studying China."
